UEPL History

“UEPL started as a new R&D laboratory with a couple of employees within United Phosphorus Limited, now UPL Ltd.in 1993, with a well drawn-out plan to initially develop phosphine detection devices and extend the technology to other gases. Encouraged by the initial success on developing phosphine detection devices, the Laboratory was shifted to the present premises in 1996 with a new name: Chemo Electronic Laboratory (CEL). CEL made rapid progress and developed instruments and detector tubes for a large number of gases and started producing and selling its products by 1997. By 2010 CEL became a self-supporting unit with more than 100 employees and was renamed as Uniphos Envirotronic Pvt. Ltd. (UEPL) as it became a private limited company.”
