Chemiluminescence Based NOx Stack Gas Analyzer

Enquire Now

There are many Analyzer technologies available for measuring various Emission gases. Experience has shown that certain technologies lend themselves better to specific gases.

One such technology for detection of NOx is Chemiluminescence. Chemiluminescence has long been recognized as the best practical analytical method for NOx detection at parts per billion level and with little or no interference from other pollutant gases.

When nitric oxide molecule present in the air reacts with ozone molecule, an exothermic reaction takes place and nitrogen dioxide in the excited state is produced. These excited molecules return to ground state by emitting light in the region 600-2800nm which is measured using a Photomultiplier tube. The amount of light produced is proportional to the amount of nitric oxide in the sample. Hence the concentration of NOx can be determined very accurately.
