KwikDraw Speciality Tubes

KwikDraw Dosimeter tubes are custom made to measure Time Weighted Average (TWA) gas concentrations over longer durations. The gas enters the dosimeter tube by the principle of natural diffusion. The sensing chemical in the dosimeter tube changes color if the target gas is present. The length of discoloration is proportional to the concentration of gas in ppm.hrs present in the area. This length of stain can be easily read against pre calibrated measurement scale printed on the tube.  

KwikDraw dosimeter tubes are convenient, easy to use, pre calibrated tubes that come with a safe tube holder. Customers just have to break the tube and place it in the tube holder. After completion of the measurement period, remove the tube from the tube holder and read the gas concentration directly from the printed scale on the tube.  

KwikDraw Smoke tubes are tailor made to test the performance of ventilation systems in buildings, leak detection around doors and windows, etc. These tubes consist of ampoules, which when crushed and air allowed to pass through, produces a visible aerosol plume of white smoke.

Two variants of KwikDraw Smoke Tubes are available:
Non-Corrosive Smoke Tubes: These tubes are used to produce non-corrosive gas and are used where human presence is high. These tubes are used to identify air flow patterns and leaks in mine shafts and tunnels, commercial buildings, and industrial processing plants.

Corrosive Smoke Tubes: These tubes are used to produce corrosive gas and are used where human breathing or presence is very low. These tubes are used mainly for ventilation checks, testing the performance of fume hoods, and breathing apparatus fit testing.

KwikDraw PID Pre-Filter tubes are used to filter volatile organic compounds from an air sample and only allow Benzene/ Butadiene to pass through for a Benzene/ Butadiene specific measurement. These tubes are generally used in conjunction with a PID based gas monitor allowing Benzene/ Butadiene specific measurements. They are available in a variety of specifications enabling them to be used with most of the popular PID instruments available in the market. 

Most of us take pure breathing air for granted, but for workers in various industries, it’s a matter of life or death. Uniphos understands the needs and is committed to working with industries that require equipment like our Breathing Air Quality Monitoring Kits, which are used to monitor the purity of breathing air as supplied directly from air compressors, breathing air cylinders or medium pressure air lines supplying air for airline applications and pneumatic machinery. The Airtester can indicate quickly and quantitatively the concentration of water vapor, oil, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and nitrous fumes.

• Air Tester HP (High Pressure) Kit – The HP version is used directly from 2216 or 4500 psi SCBA cylinders or high-pressure compressors using the DIN 300 to SCBA adapter suppled with each kit. Multi-Port configuration enables the user to test up to four tubes simultaneously.
• Air Tester MP (Medium Pressure) Kit – The Airtester MP tests with one tube at a time and is ideal for plant supplied systems where the typical in-plant air lines operate at 80 to 120 psi.

During fire accidents, some chemicals such as fluorine gas, perchlorate salts like ammonium perchlorate or chlorine trifluoride, act as oxidizers, sometimes more powerful ones than oxygen itself. A fire based on a reaction with these oxidizers can be very difficult to put out until the oxidizer is exhausted. Some of the gases like chlorine and nitrogen dioxide causes an explosion when present along with a combustible gas.

It thus becomes necessary to analyse the environment where the fire had occurred for various organic, inorganic & toxic gases. KwikDraw understands these needs and is committed to work with the fire brigade industry to provide a solution – the KwikDraw Fire brigade Kit, which not only helps determine the cause of fire, but also helps to identify the resulting hazardous gases generated during the fire. The various such Kits available are:

• KwikDraw Fire Kit I: Consisting of 26 KwikDraw gas detector tubes, air sampling pump, sampling hose and airflow indicator kit.
• KwikDraw Fire Kit II: Consisting of 40 KwikDraw gas detector tubes, air sampling pump, sampling hose and airflow indicator kit.

A quick assessment of the possible threat which might occur from fire, accidents, and other disasters is achieved with the KwikDraw Action Sets and Tubes. Only two warning marks are printed on the Action Tubes to ensure a rapid and simple reading.  

Kwikdraw ETW tubes are special gas detector tubes that indicate if working personnel when using the respiratory protection devices are exposed to gas concentrations above the ETW levels for more than 4 hours. ETW tubes are available for more than 30 substances.  

CWA Tubes are detector tubes used to identify chemical warfare agents like Phosphoric Acid ester, cyanogen chloride, Lewisite, etc.  These tubes help in the rapid identification of chemical warfare agents during an accident, providing a valuable tool to first responders. 

Industrial sets are designed for the rapid detection of 4 to 5 gases/ vapors. Sets comprise of tubes with two scale marks for semi-quantitative assessments using one tube at a time. On offer are Industrial Sets for specific industries like Agricultural, Pharmaceutical, Petroleum, Mining, Pulp and Paper, Synthetics Manufacturing, and Semiconductor. 

Hazmat kits are also known as first/ fast responder kits. It is tailor made to determine the unknown contaminants in air during a hazardous incident or in an industrial setting. It consists of a variety of gas detection tubes to help emergency response, fire, and Hazmat teams quickly and easily classify unknown chemical gases and vapours that might be present in the atmosphere.
