Uniphos Envirotronic Pvt. Ltd. was acknowledged at the Star Rating Awards Ceremony – R&D 2025, which took place in Mumbai on September 4th. The Indigenous Development of a Multi-Gas Detector for Underground Coal Mining received the award.
The Multi-Gas Detector was created to measure and track the gases found in underground coal mines. Maintaining safe working conditions and protecting miners from hazardous exposure requires continuous gas monitoring.
To lessen reliance on foreign machinery and guarantee a dependable solution appropriate for Indian mining circumstances, this detector was created as part of the Make in India campaign.
Mr. Sanjay K. Patil and his team oversaw the project, which aimed to develop a system that is reliable, accurate, and useful for routine usage in coal mining operations.
This recognition by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, safety, and self-reliance in critical sectors.
